OCWAR-M attended the 32nd plenary meeting of the GIABA Technical Commission

OCWAR-M attended the 32nd plenary meeting of the GIABA Technical Commission from 10 to November 15th, and presented the project outline to national correspondents and technical and financial partners at the technical assistance meeting on November 13th.


The first steering committee of the project was held on November 15th under the co-chairmanship of the General Director of GIABA, the First Counsellor of the European Union Delegation to Senegal, and the Director of the Peace, Security and Stability Department of Expertise France. GIABA national correspondents attended as observers. The inception report, the intervention strategy and the action plan were validated.


OCWAR-M attended the 6th African Peace and Security Forum in Diamniadio (Senegal) through a joint presentation stand with its sister project OCWAR-C (fight against cybercrime) and a press conference from the European Union Ambassador, Irène Mingasson, the General Director of Expertise France, Jérémie Pellet, the Head of ECOWAS Digital Directorate, Raphaël KOFFI and the General Director of GIABA, Judge Kimélabalou ABA. This session highlighted the efforts made by the European Union through the European Development Fund to combat transnational crime in West Africa, with its regional partners.
